Visiting Cashel Farms


Cashel Farms Nurseries is located on the eastern plains of Colorado, about half way between Colorado Springs and Limon. We are easily accessible to those in Castle Rock, Denver, and most of eastern Colorado, and we serve customers as far away as Kansas and Wyoming. Directions and a map are given below. Bring our phone number along, just in case!

From Colorado Springs

  • Your trip will take approximately an hour.
  • Take Highway 24 east out of Colorado Springs. You will travel through the towns of Falcon, Peyton, Calhan, and Ramah.
  • Stay on Hwy. 24 through the little town of Simla. Approximately 1.5 miles east of Simla, turn right (south) on Elbert County Road 133.
  • At the jog in the road, continue to bear south (see map inset below), staying on Rd. 133.
  • Cashel Farms is located six miles south of Hwy. 24 on Rd. 133/Holtwood Rd. (this road divides Elbert county from El Paso county, and it is known by different names in each county). Watch for our sign on your left.

From Denver, via Castle Rock

  • Your trip will take approximately 2 hours. Have a meal in Simla, or pack a picnic and spend an afternoon touring our gardens.
  • Take I-25 south towards Castle Rock.
  • Take the Founder's Parkway exit (just north of Castle Rock, near the the Factory Outlets) east to Highway 86 (you can also pick up Highway 86 from Castle Rock).
  • Go east on Hwy. 86. You will travel through Franktown, Elizabeth, and Kiowa.
  • Just east of mile marker 44 is a sign for Simla. Turn right on this road, Elbert County Road 125.
  • Go 9 miles south on Rd. 125 to Highway 24 in Simla.
  • Turn left (east) on Hwy. 24.
  • Go through the little town of Simla. Approximately 1.5 miles east of Simla, turn right/south on Elbert County Road 133.
  • At the jog in the road, continue to bear south (see map inset below), staying on Rd. 133.

From East Denver, via Parker

  • Your trip will take approximately 2 hours. Have a meal in Simla, or pack a picnic and spend an afternoon touring our gardens.
  • Take Parker Road south to Franktown where you can pick up Highway 86 east, and follow the directions above.

From Limon

  • Your trip will take approximately 30 minutes.
  • Take Highway 24 west 23 miles to Elbert County Road 133 (if you enter the town of Simla, you've gone about a mile and a half too far).
  • Turn left/south on Rd 133.
  • At the jog in the road, continue to bear south (see map inset below), staying on Rd. 133.
